Help Center: FAQs & Troubleshooting

Organized into four categories by use case: Accounts & Subscriptions, Connections & Troubleshooting, Speed & Routes, and Billing & Refunds. Each answer gives concrete troubleshooting steps; for anything involving prices and policies, the pricing and policy pages are the authoritative source.

Accounts & Subscriptions

Questions about account registration, getting your subscription, and using multiple devices. Registration only needs a username and password — no email address required.

What information is required to create a VPNFP account?
No email address is required — you only need to choose a username and set a password to complete registration. Once registered, you can log in to the user panel to purchase a plan. Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT are supported.
Where do I get my subscription link after registering?
After logging in to the user panel, you can view your subscription address on the Overview page and copy it into your client to import. The subscription address looks like https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN (example format; refer to what is shown in your panel). For first-time use, we recommend reading the step-by-step tutorial on the beginner guide page.
Do I need to buy a new plan when switching devices?
No. This service places no limit on the number of simultaneously connected devices. Install a client on any platform — Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, or Linux — log in with the same account, and import your subscription. There is no need to pay separately for each device.
How do I update the node information in my subscription link?
Node information is synced to your subscription link automatically whenever routes are adjusted. Run Update Subscription in your client (or delete and re-import the subscription) to pull the latest node list. If it has been a long time since your last manual update, we recommend updating the subscription before switching nodes when troubleshooting.
What should I do if I forget my password?
Use the Forgot Password feature on the user panel login page and follow the on-screen instructions to reset it. Because registration requires no email address, your account credentials are kept by you alone — we recommend recording your username and password somewhere safe.

Connections & Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting steps for failed connections, apps bypassing the proxy, and unexpected exit IPs. Most issues can be resolved by updating the subscription and switching nodes.

I'm connected but web pages won't load. What should I do?
Troubleshoot in this order: first update the subscription in your client and confirm the node list is current; then switch to another node in the same region; check the client's proxy mode — in rule-based mode some traffic goes direct, so try switching to global mode; finally, verify that your system clock is accurate, as a large time offset can cause the handshake to fail.
Why are some apps not going through the proxy?
This is common with clients running in rule-based mode: when the routing rules don't cover an app, its traffic still goes direct. You can add the app to the proxy list in the client's per-app proxy or routing settings, or temporarily switch to global mode to verify. If it's still unreachable in global mode, troubleshoot the node following the connection failure steps.
The client says connected, but my exit IP hasn't changed. Why?
First use the IP lookup tool to confirm your current exit IP and its location. If the exit IP is unchanged, the system proxy isn't taking effect: check whether the client's System Proxy toggle is on, or whether the virtual network adapter mode has system authorization. On macOS and Windows, you must allow the system extension to install on first use.
The connection often drops when my phone is locked. What can I do?
Mobile systems' battery-saving policies may suspend VPN background activity after the screen locks. Add the client to the battery optimization whitelist in system settings (allow background activity), and enable Always-on VPN in the client (Android) or keep the profile connected (iOS). For the full setup path on Android, see the Android setup tutorial.
Can I use VPNFP on Linux?
Yes. On Linux you can use a compatible general-purpose client to import your subscription. You can get it the same way as on other platforms: log in to the user panel and check the Download Client page. For import and configuration steps, see the beginner guide page.

Speed & Routes

Questions about route selection and peak-hour performance. This service covers 110+ countries / 170+ routes, and different route types perform differently during peak hours.

Speeds drop during evening peak hours. What should I do?
During peak hours the overall load on cross-border links rises, so some speed fluctuation is normal. Try these in order: switch to another route in the same region; change to a node in a nearby region (such as Hong Kong, Japan, or Singapore); check the route type labels on the servers page and prefer dedicated or relay routes during peak hours.
4K video stutters. How should I choose a route?
4K streaming demands a lot of bandwidth. Choose a route that is physically close to you with a low load, and pause other bandwidth-heavy downloads. If the target service is region-restricted, first confirm that the selected node's region matches the service's content region, then check the streaming support labels on the servers page. If you use AI tools like ChatGPT, see the route recommendations on the AI acceleration page.
How do I confirm which exit node I'm currently using?
After connecting, use this site's IP lookup tool to view your current exit IP and its location, and confirm it matches the node selected in your client. If you want to verify that DNS is going through the proxy, the lookup page also shows reference information about your DNS exit.
Can I still connect after using up my monthly data?
Monthly plan data resets every month on your activation day. Once the month's data is used up, upgrade your plan or buy a data pack to continue: monthly plans are ¥9.9/month with 60GB, ¥18/month with 250GB, and ¥28/month with 500GB; data packs are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB — usable until depleted and never expiring. For the full price list, see the pricing page.

Billing & Refunds

Questions about payments, data resets, plan upgrades, and refund requests. All prices and policies are as shown on the pricing page.

Which payment methods are supported?
Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT are supported. Select a plan in the user panel and place your order, then complete the payment following the instructions on the order page. Plan details and prices are as shown on the pricing page.
When does monthly plan data reset?
Monthly plan data resets every month on your activation day: for example, if you activated on March 5, your data resets to the plan allowance on the 5th of each month. Data packs do not reset — usable until depleted and never expiring.
If I upgrade mid-cycle, how is the cost calculated?
When upgrading mid-cycle, the remaining value of your current plan is prorated by the days left and credited toward the new plan, so you only pay the difference. Upgrades are handled on the plans page in the user panel; once effective, your data allowance is calculated by the new plan.
How do I request a refund?
This service offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund. To request one, log in to the user panel and submit a ticket with your order details. Once approved, the refund is returned via the original payment channel; the specific terms are governed by the refund policy page.
